Block a Month Crochet A' Long

I decided I would try the BAMCAL this year.  Its only the beginning of February, so I'm not too late.  I finished the January Main Block and February Main Block already and am probably going to do the filler blocks too.

Baby Crocodile Stitch Boots.

These little boots were a pain to make, I tried a pattern for the sole and foot, but it didn't look right with the color changes.  I decided the sole was good enough, but from there I made these without a pattern.  I might possibly write down what I did if anybody is interested.  They turned out super cute, I only wish I had yarn that was dyed better for this project.

Crochet Chicken Ornament

One of my aunts loves chicken decorations, especially for her kitchen, so I made her some tiny crochet chicken ornaments. These little chickens are about 2.5 inches tall and 3 inches wide. After I finished making them, I used some glue to stiffen them and added a cord to hang them on the Christmas tree. Those steps are completely optional though. There definitely is a right side to them, but the wrong side doesn’t look too bad, it’s just a little harder to see the beak and comb.

You can get the pattern on Ravelry

I used this how to guide with white craft glue to stiffen my ornaments

Snowy Owl and Penguin Amigurumi Patterns

Heres the description on the site for my owl.

http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/snowy-owl-amigurumi-2

This little owl is so cute.  I call mine Hedwig and it goes on my Christmas tree with the rest of my crochet/knit harry potter ornaments.  When finished this little guy, or gal comes in at three and three quarter inches tall.  I looked and looked for a good pattern, but couldn’t find one, so I made my own pattern.  I included some options for customization so each owl can be unique.  I hope you all enjoy your very own owls.  I would love to know what you name him/her, and feel free to send a picture too.

And the penguin.

After seeing Hedwig and flapping her cute little wings, my brother immediately requested a penguin with flappable wings.  Needless to say he loves his little penguin. All finished he comes in just under four inches tall.
The main body is worked in the round, but the rest is worked in rows.  There are several pieces to assemble, and some color changes.  I Crocheted over the color I wasn’t using at the time as a way to carry it along.  Otherwise you could cut your yarn for each color change.

If you are interested in purchasing these patterns, you can use coupon code Birdsofafeather to save $1 when you buy them both.  Enter that code here.  http://www.ravelry.com/redeem/laura-j-designs

Hello Kitty Hat

My aunt asked me to make a hello kitty hat for her daughter-in-law for christmas, so I did.

I tried to use a pattern but it didn't work out so good.  I ended up just winging it and I think it turned out alright.

PS. my deathstar is a great hat model

Baby Overalls

I made my cousin a minion outfit for her new baby.  I used some patterns to get a general idea, but I made the overalls myself.  I decided to write down the pattern and put it on ravelry to sell and I just sold the first pattern.  Yay!!

I made a  and boots to go with it and a little pocket with logo to add to the overalls.hat
